Hurricane Response |
|
MidWest Missionair is responding to this
unprecedented tragedy with a three phase plan: |
|
Over half a million people were uprooted by Katrina |
|
Phase One - First Response -
Currently Complete . MidWest
Missionair made aircraft available to first responders transporting volunteer
physicians, nurses and medical workers to the disaster zone. Church leaders and humanitarian group
leaders were also transported so that they could formulate plans to help with
phases two and three. We were also
available to transport medical patents and to reunite families that were
separated in the evacuation. Aircraft and pilots are being
provided free of charge. You can help
with a contribution to our fuel fund.

Ruble of destroyed or damaged homes must be cleared before reconstruction can
begin. Teams of volunteers are
organized to help with this effort. If
you would like to volunteer please send your Name, Address, Phone and email
to
gblackie@midwestmissionair or
phone 913 208 4410. We will let you
know when projects are organized. Expect this effort to continue into 2007. Phase Three – REBUILD and REPAIR to
return homes to habitable condition. Many victims who thought that their
insurance would cover losses have found that they are out of luck. They need your help! Teams of volunteers are still being
organized. If you would like to
volunteer please send your Name, Address, Phone and email to
gblackie@midwestmissionair or
phone 913 208 4410. We will let you
know when projects are organized.
Expect this effort to continue for several years. |
