In 1997 Midwest Missionair began work with Cruzadas del Evangelio in La Ceiba, Honduras.
Cruzadas is a church run entirely by Hondurans. At that time it had grown to over 90 local congregations and was involved in a number of programs designed to share Christ’s love by meeting real physical needs.
MidWest Missionair volunteers helped to feed homeless children, provide medical needs, repaired buildings, installed electrical power, and worked in the recovery from hurricane Mitch.
But the most rewarding activity was showing the “Jesus Film” and “Veggie Tales” on the streets of La Ceiba and in remote villages reachable only by air or on foot.
