Aircraft Facelift Project

Text Box: Thank you, Gordon. You shortened my trip by 24 hours, allowing me to continue the moving process in which my wife and I are involved during this week. Weather, particularly winds, was hard on you as a pilot. You proved to be a good one!

In Him,

Mario Zani

The painting project got under way on schedule in December and as you can see it is well along.

We found that there were up to five coats of paint in some places which had to be removed.  This was more work  than we had anticipated but volunteers from Heartland Community Church in Overland Park, KS came forth and helped get the rest of the paint off.

This has allowed a detailed inspection of the fuselage.  Some minor cracks were found and are now being repaired.

·           Finishing our Aztec aircraft would have cost over $10,000 if we had done it through a commercial aircraft paint shop.

·           Because of the hard work of our volunteers and students we will complete the project for less that half of this amount.

·           Will your please put us over the top?

·           The table to the right is all we need to complete the project.

·           Will you please help us purchase one of these items.

Mario Zani has taught at Nazarene Theological Seminary for a number of years and will soon return to his native Argentina to head up a program producing Christian literature in Spanish.

MidWest MissionAir was  privileged to help Mario with his preparations by shortening his travel time on a recent speaking engagement.

Jay Braymer is taking time to rebuild our fiberglass parts in spite of being very busy with a new job venture. Thanks! Jay.

We will soon be spraying paint!!!
